Torbay Food Alliance is made up of community and voluntary sector organisations working together in Torbay; a direct response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We have united with a common goal: to ensure that no-one in Torbay goes hungry during this crisis.
The Alliance has been set-up in order to bring together community food resources and fundraising efforts, so that we can provide co-ordinated support to people who are struggling to access food. These people may be self-isolating, have no money to buy food, or have lost their usual support networks. This will help the poorest and most vulnerable in our community. We will provide parcels of groceries and essentials, or meals for those people unable to prepare their own.
Without this support, many people will go without food; which is essential to them staying healthy and well. With all these organisations working together, we can make a real difference to the people of Torbay who need our help – and yours.
Torbay Food Alliance is working in Partnership with Torbay Community Development Trust, Torbay Council and Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
